Information for Speakers

Thank you for speaking at SWO Drupal Camp! Please read the following to ensure you have have a smooth and successful presentation.

Speakers Still Need to Register

Registration is free, but we need to know some additional details. If you haven't registered, please do it now!

Sponsor Slides

Please include this thank-you slide at the beginning and end of your talk. You're welcome to integrate them elsewhere in your session too, but we'd like them at the beginning and end for the recordings.

Room Details

If you are presenting in the theatre, you will have a microphone with speakers. In meeting rooms C and E, there will be a microphone for recording but there will be no speakers or amplification. A normal speaking voice should be fine in these rooms. Microphones will be fixed to a podium. All rooms have projectors with 16:9 aspect ratios, HDMI, and power. Be sure to design your slides for high contrast to ensure they are visible to attendees.

The Day Of

  • Check in at the registration desk and let them know you are a speaker and have arrived. If you have delays or issues the day of, email swo@drupalcanada.org.
  • Arrive at your scheduled room 10 minutes before your session time.
  • Speaker-only Wifi is available, and the theatre room also has a wired connection. However, connecting requires assistance from the library staff. Let organizers and volunteers know if you need internet for your presentation, and be sure to have a fallback option in case it doesn't work.
  • We will have a separate devices for audio and video recording. Recordings will be posted after the event and will not be streamed live.
  • Remember to allow some time for questions, and to repeat questions into the microphone for the recording!
