Five types of landing pages that every website probably needs

About the Speaker

Session Category New to Drupal Theming, Design, Usability & Accessibility Audience All Attendees

Everyone knows that flexible page-building tools are a must. And Drupal Canvas will bring exciting new options for designers and content editors, but flexibility alone doesn’t make for a strong content strategy.

You need to be creating content that speaks to your audience. A design system or style guide can tell you what your content should look like. But how do you make sure that you’re sending the right message and moving the user along in their journey?

In this session, we’ll look at five types of landing pages and the role that each one plays in contributing to your content strategy. Along the way, we’ll highlight real-world examples and talk about how what you build in Drupal can support content editors.

We’ll talk about specific examples of:

  • Where to place calls to action (CTAs)
  • How much visual content to include
  • How to align the page with audience needs
  • How to weave in related content in a strategy way
  • How each page supports the overall user journey

By the end of this session, you’ll have some practical insights that you can go back and apply to your own content, or (if you’re a developer) a content strategy perspective that can help you provide more useful components and CMS options with Drupal.
